Our goals include providing scholarships, preserving the artifacts and rich history of our Alma Mater, operating an alumni museum, maintaining an alumni database, promoting alumni activities and events, and participating in school and community events.
Membership
You are invited to become a member of the Grant Union High School Alumni Association. This is a nonprofit organization composed of graduates, former students, faculty, and friends of the Grant Union High School.
Our goals include a scholarship program to encourage students to further their education, to keep in touch with their classmates, to preserve historic items and artifacts, and to support school activities.
Here are additional reasons why you should become a member:
Scholarship:
Since 1984, The Alumni Association has awarded Pacers $1.5 million in scholarships. Membership dues, donations, family gifts, and trust fund endowments support these scholarships. Scholarship recipients are recognized at the final senior class assembly and listed in the commencement programs.
Museum:
The Alumni Museum is a unique collection of artifacts that display the history of our Alma Mater from its early days in temporary buildings to the present. The museum highlights the cultural and political changes that have influenced our students and community, including the Great Depression, World War II, the post-war baby boom, and contemporary issues. In addition, the museum features class photographs, yearbooks, and student publications, showcasing our academic and athletic achievements and highlighting many of our school’s distinctive characteristics. The Alumni Museum is open most Mondays (Holidays excepted) from 9 am to 1 pm. For more information about the Alumni Museum and special visiting hours, please contact the Alumni Association at info@ghusaa.org.
